Hand chain saw operator
Act No. 124/2006 Coll. on Occupational Health and Safety at Work obliges employers to assign only employees who have a valid chainsaw operator’s licence for the type of chainsaw in question to work with hand chainsaws.
A hand-held chainsaw may only be operated by a person of legal age, who is medically fit and holds a hand-held chainsaw operator’s licence.
We provide training for all types and classes of selected agricultural machinery and equipment:
- Training of manual chainsaw operators in timber harvesting (felling, debarking and handling of timber in normal and calamity harvesting)
- Training of hand chainsaw operators in other activities (carpentry, construction, artistic activities, tree crown cutting and finishing, timber dressing and cross-cutting)
Vocational training of hand chainsaw operators in logging:
Operation of a hand chain chain saw in the felling, debarking and handling of timber in normal and calamitous logging operations.
The content of the training is a theoretical part focused on:
- health and safety issues in logging and timber handling regulated by legislation and other regulations to ensure health and safety at work,
- the technological procedures for harvesting and handling timber,
- inspection and maintenance of the hand-held chainsaw, including maintenance of the cutting section,
- the principles of first aid,
The practical part of the training focuses on:
- vertical and combined cuts,
- venting,
- harvesting of timber in the stand,
- handling of timber.
Training of hand-held chainsaw operators in other activities:
Operation of hand chain chain saw in activities – carpentry, construction, art, cutting and finishing of tree crowns, finishing and cross-cutting of wood.
The content of the training is theoretical part focused on:
- health and safety issues in other activities and handling of timber regulated by legislation and other regulations to ensure health and safety at work,
- technological procedures,
- inspection and maintenance of the hand-held chainsaw, including maintenance of the cutting section,
- the principles of first aid,
The practical part of the training focuses on:
- starting and stopping the saw
- installation of the cutting bar and chain
- fuel handling
- sawing
- maintenance
The theoretical part of the training ends with a written examination in the form of a test. The practical part ends with a practical examination.
Upon successful completion of the examinations, the applicant is issued with an operator’s licence in the relevant range.
Conditions for admission to training:
- at least 18 years of age
- medical fitness (medical certificate certified by a doctor)
- recent photograph 3×3,5 cm
We offer you:
- obtaining a licence to operate a hand chainsaw
- extension of the licence to other types
- issuing a duplicate licence if it was issued by our company (in case of loss, theft or damage to the licence)
- periodic re-training to extend the validity of the licence (1 x 24 months)
- refresher training (Act No. 124/2006 Coll. § 16. 1 x every 5 years)
Training is carried out by our chainsaw trainers who have many years of experience in this field.
