Employer-specific training for performance (safety technician, authorized safety technican)

The aim of the specific training is to familiarise employers who will personally carry out the tasks of safety technicians  and authorised safety technicians  with the theoretical knowledge of occupational safety for the profession they are engaged in within their business activities. Roles and responsibilities arising from the provision of occupational health and safety
are an integral part of every employee’s job duties, and if employers are going to act as safety engineers and authorised safety technicians, they must be familiar with the latest legislative knowledge on OHS so that they can apply it in practice, they will be familiar with the regulations for supervisors and with the knowledge of the OHS management system and OHS management systems.

The range of the specific training is oriented towards the need for a thorough knowledge of safety regulations in practice.

Participants of training – specific training the participant of specific training for the performance of a safety technician or authorized safety technican in his/her organisation is an employer who is a natural person entrepreneur or a statutory body of an employer who is a legal person. Such a person may personally perform the professional tasks of a safety technician or authorised safety technician at his workplace,

if it is professionally competent to perform them, and:

a)employs less than five employees, if it carries out an activity listed in Annex 1 of the Act of the National Council of the Slovak Republic No. 124 / 2006 Coll., (administrative work)

b) employs fewer than 19 employees, if it carries out another activity, other than those listed in Annex No. 1 of the Act of the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic No. 124 / 2006 Coll. (other sectors, e.g. – operators and owners of small shops, operators of hospitality establishments, operators and owners of firms focusing on small construction work).

The minimum amount of specific training shall be 16 teaching hours.

Upon successful completion, the employer will receive a certificate valid for 5 years.

  • basic training – to obtain a certificate of completion of specific training
  • refresher training – 1 x every 5 years (according to Act No. 124/2006 Coll. on Occupational Health and Safety at Work, as amended).

The training is carried out by our lecturers who have many years of experience in this field.
